    Michael Levy secured acquittal of principal defendant in a conspiracy to supply a large quantity of class A drugs worth in excess of a million pounds
    He was found Not Guilty by a jury after trial in the Central Criminal Court in London.

    Michael Levy successfully represented the principal defendant in a Conspiracy to transfer firearms and ammunition at the Nottingham Crown Court in February 2022
    The operation was conducted by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit and relied upon undercover observation evidence, discreet surveillance, telephone and other electronic evidence. The defendant was found Not Guilty of all charges after a trial.

    Michael Levy successfully defended a police officer for Assault in the execution of his duty, in May 2022
    Michael, who did not appear in the lower court, represented him at his appeal at the Worcester Crown Court. As a consequence, all disciplinary proceedings against the police officer have also been discontinued.

    Hijacking trial acquittal
    The jury unanimously acquitted the principal defendant, represented by Michael Levy, in a momentous hijacking case following an eight week trial at the Central Criminal Court. This was the first case of hijacking of an international  ship that had reached the criminal courts.  Special forces were called as the alleged incident unfolded with the defendants threatening to kill members of the crew in a desperate bid to reach the UK from Africa. The trial included a number of legal arguments and considerations of international law.

    Michael Levy secures only acquittal in County Lines drugs and Modern Slavery case
    Michael Levy represented the only defendant to be acquitted in a four month trial at Woolwich Crown Court. The defendant was alleged to be a member of a “County Lines” drug dealing network operating in Kent. The prosecution also charged all defendants with human trafficking of the teenage drug runners, under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. A submission of no case to answer was accepted by the judge on the Modern Slavery counts, and the jury acquitted the defendant of having any knowing involvement in the drug trafficking.

    Michael Levy represents Dominic Chappell in BHS Pensions Case
    Michael Levy represented Dominic Chappell in his appeal against conviction at the Hove Crown Court in respect of charges brought by the Pension Regulator arising out of the sale of British Home Stores (BHS) to Mr Chappell.
